At Masami in Hoofddorp, we bring together Asian flavours and techniques with a European twist. But great food is only part of the experience. Our service team plays an essential role in making every visit feel personal, welcoming and effortless.
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic member of our service team: someone who enjoys working with guests, takes pride in providing excellent service and wants to grow within a professional hospitality environment.
Your role
As a member of our service team, you are one of the faces of Masami. You make sure our guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave.
You will be involved in everything from welcoming guests and taking orders to advising them on our dishes, wines and cocktails. You will work closely with the kitchen and the rest of the service team to make sure every guest receives the experience we strive for.
We value people who are attentive, proactive and genuinely enjoy hospitality. Someone who doesn’t wait until they are asked, but sees what needs to be done and takes initiative.
Your responsibilities include:
- Welcoming and seating guests in a warm and professional way
- Taking orders and providing knowledgeable recommendations
- Advising guests on our Asian fusion dishes, wines and cocktails
- Serving food and drinks with attention to detail
- Making sure guests have everything they need throughout their visit
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional service area
- Working closely with the kitchen and service team
- Handling busy services calmly and professionally
- Contributing to a positive and welcoming atmosphere within the restaurant
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and wants to deliver great hospitality.
You are social, approachable and confident in communicating with guests. You stay calm when things get busy, take responsibility for your work and are always willing to help your team.
You bring:
- A natural passion for hospitality and guest service
- A friendly, open and professional personality
- Good communication skills and the ability to connect easily with guests
- The ability to stay organised and calm during busy services
- A proactive attitude and the ability to see what needs to be done
- Good Dutch and English communication skills
- A genuine interest in food, drinks and hospitality
- A willingness to learn and develop within the team
Experience in service is a plus, but not essential. What matters most to us is your personality, your hospitality mindset and your willingness to learn.
